The Y shares its front end with the Model 3, so it fails in the same places — but it's a taller, heavier car, and it gets there sooner. If yours has started creaking, clicking when you turn, or chewing the inside edge of its front tyres, that's the pattern.

The Model Y is heavier than the Model 3 and carries that weight higher. The suspension components are closely related, so the failures are the same ones — bushes, ball joints, links — but the loads through them are greater. In practice we see the same wear arrive earlier on a Y, and alignment drift out of spec faster once a bush starts moving.
Five components account for most of it. The noise, and when you hear it, narrows things down — though nothing beats putting the car on a hoist and loading the joints by hand.
Inside-edge wear is geometry, not tyres. Camber and toe drift out of spec, and the extra weight of a Y makes the consequences show up faster. Worn bushes and links let the wheel move further still, so the drift accelerates once it starts.
This is why a Model Y wheel alignment is worth doing on its own schedule rather than only when you buy tyres. Fit a new set without correcting the geometry and you'll wear them the same way — an expensive lesson on a car with tyres this size.
